I’ve not been a fan of the original ‘70’s movies, the cartoon series, the television show or the 2001 bomb by Tim Burton, but I think this new franchise may have won me over.

Obama to Repubs: Stop Whining! Think America
As hundreds of “Tea Party” members rallied outside the nation’s capitol, carrying American flags and signs that read, “Don’t tread on me,” members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted on landmark healthcare legislation that ensured that most Americans receive health care.
The legislation, which will cost $940 billion over a decade, also bars insurers from denying coverage on the basis of existing medical conditions and cut federal deficits by an estimated $138 billion over a decade.
In the countdown to the vote, Democratic House leaders and President Barack Obama were able to resolve long-standing rifts over abortion and gain the votes needed from Bart Stupak and other anti-abortion Democrats to pass the overhaul by announcing that the president will issue an executive order reaffirming laws already on the books that prevent taxpayer monies from going towards abortions, except in cases of rape, incest or threats to the life of the mother.
According to the Associated Press,” Passage of a central health care bill already cleared by the Senate would send it to Obama for his signature. That still would leave one more step, a companion package of changes would go to the Senate.”

Some are already saying Abdulmutallab’s religion, Islam, is the reason he allegedly decided to become a mass-murderer.
Luckily, God in His Sovereignty didn’t allow the misguided Abdulmutallab to take human life.
Since Abdulmutallab already has to answer to God and the law of the land, instead of trying to punish him with our punditry, let’s do something productive.
Let’s pray for him.
So all you true Christians out there– not you guys who dabble in Astrology on the side or you guys who confuse patriotism with Christianity — pray that Christ would open Abdulmutallab’s eyes, so that even though this “attack” could have been something bad, God will have made it something good.

Golf superstar Tiger Woods has been very popular in the media lately. Not for his golf swing, but for his alleged philandering. The allegations came to light after Tiger suffered facial lacerations after a car accident near his home. Media Web sites such as TMZ began claiming that the accident was caused by an argument between Tiger and his wife Elin over his cheating. Since then, several women have come forward claiming to have had affairs with Woods.

Social website Facebook yanked a poll this week about assassinating President Barack Obama after being contacted by the U.S. Secret Service.
On Monday, Facebook dropped a question that asked voters whether the U.S. president “should be killed.”
The social networking company made the move after receiving a request from the Secret Service, other web services reported.
“We are aware of [the poll],” Ed Donovan, a spokesman for the Secret Service, told the Plum Line, a service of the Washington Post newspaper. “We are taking the appropriate investigative steps.”
The poll was created by a third-party application and gave participants the option of responding yes, no, maybe or “if he cuts my health care”.
About 750 Facebook users voted on the poll before the web service disabled the entire application.

Michelle Malkin’s "Culture of Corruption: Obama and His Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks and Cronies" spent weeks at No. 1 on The New York Times nonfiction list. Sales have been strong for Dick Morris’ anti-Obama "Catastrophe" and the reissue of "The Five Thousand Year Leap," by W. Cleon Skousen.
And Sarah Palin may top them all.
In a feat usually reserved for the likes of J.K. Rowling and Dan Brown, Palin’s book was No. 1 on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com just two days after Harper announced it had moved up the release date from the spring to Nov. 17 and that the memoir’s title was "Going Rogue."
Palin’s 432-page memoir, still No. 1 on Friday, has been given a first printing of 1.5 million copies and booksellers have begun fighting for sales. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. cut the $28.99 list price by more than half, to $13.50, and Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com are offering "Going Rogue" for $15.65, a 45 percent discount.
Although she resigned abruptly last summer as governor, and the Republican ticket of Sen. John McCain and Palin was decisively beaten in the 2008 election, "Going Rogue" will surely outsell the memoir of her Democratic counterpart, Vice President Joe Biden, and likely approach the million-selling heights of President Barack Obama’s "The Audacity of Hope."

President Obama’s speech to public school students on Sept. 8 caused an uproar among conservative parents. Prior to the speech’s delivery, many “conservative” parents accused the president of trying to indoctrinate their children with socialist ideas. Others said they were concerned because the speech had not been screened for political content.
